Environment

Hambling Construction recognises that in managing our activities we have a responsibility to protect the environment, our clients, employees and the general public.  We have therefore adopted an environmental policy, which incorporates the principles of sustainable construction.

The aim of this policy is to:

  • Ensure that all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice are adhered to in all our operations.

  • Promote environmental awareness and commitment to the policy amongst all employees.

  • Avoid the wastage of materials, water and energy.

  • Utilise resources in a responsible manner from recycled or recyclable sources.

  • Encourage customers, wherever possible, to adopt the principles of sustainability in their design processes.

  • Design permanent works to:

    • Minimise pollution and the use of energy during their construction and occupation,

    • Minimise waste during construction,

    • Improve the landscape, and retain natural features where possible.

  • Plan carefully to prevent pollution and minimise environmental disturbance as a result of our activities.

Apply continuous improvement by reviewing objectives and the subsequent effect upon objectives and targets.
